  • Fifth Grade Academic Overview

    Fifth grade is the first level of our Discipleship Academy with the theme of “God’s Big Crazy Plan.”  Fifth graders have opportunities to partner with sixth graders in activities such as PE and Bible which also helps build our mentorship program. Fifth graders use Abeka health, old world history, language, and spelling along with an enriched reading program and 6 Traits Writing Program. Fifth graders continue with Saxon math with enrichments in math to critical thinking and problem solving. Fifth graders also have the opportunity to participate in extra-curricular sports.

  • Sixth Grade Academic Overview

    Sixth graders continue in our Discipleship Academy with the theme “I am God’s Child,” using Abeka language and spelling along with 6 Traits Writing and an enriched reading program. They continue with Saxon math and are introduced to Glencoe/McGraw-Hill for earth science, and McDougal Littell for geography and cultures.  They have the opportunity to participate in academic activities involving language, science, and history as well as in extra-curricular sports.

  • Seventh Grade Academic Overview

    Our Seventh grade discipleship theme is “Christ’s Ambassador.” They continue using Abeka language and spelling along with 6 Traits Writing and an enriched reading program. They continue with Saxon math and Glencoe/McGraw Hill for Life Science. History is Holt-McDougal for world history and UNM History of New Mexico. They partner with eighth graders for PE and Bible and continue working on their mentorship and discipleship program in this way. They have the opportunity to participate in academic activities involving language, science, and history as well as in extra-curricular sports.

  • Eighth Grade Academic Overview

    Our eighth graders are the last class in the Discipleship Academy and in our school. Their theme is “Disciple Wide Awake.” They continue to use Abeka language and spelling along with 6 Traits Writing and an enriched reading program. They continue to use Saxon math, Glencoe/McGraw-Hill physical science, and McDougal Littell American history. They also have the opportunity to participate in academic activities involving language, science, and history as well as in extra-curricular sports. Our eighth graders leave ACS well prepared for their high school experience.
